"I only date selfish, woman/poor/minority hating people."
If you checked your facts instead of being ignorant, you would know that Democrats filibustered the Civil Rights Act on June 10th, 1964. It was the Republican party who pioneered the right of women to vote. Sen. A.A. Sargent (R) was the one who introduced the 19th Amendment (1878), and it was the Democrats who shot down his proposal four times. When Republicans gained control of Congress in 1919, the Equal Suffrage Amendment finally passed the House & Senate. 26 of the 36 states that ratified it had Republican legislatures. Of the nine states that voted against it, eight were Democratic.
"Minority hating"? The GOP was founded in 1854 by a group of abolitionists who gathered to fight the expansion of slavery. In 1856 the first Republican National Convention took place in Philadelphia, where the Constitution was written.
Get your uneducated comments out of here. Learn history. Democrats have historically been anti-freedom for both ‘minorities’ and women. Maybe if you knew this, you wouldn’t be such a liberal. Or… maybe you would.
Lalalalalalala republicans are betterrrrrr
GOD BLESS YOU.
I want a shirt like that.
I would also like to add that ABRAHAM LINCOLN is a REPUBLICAN and last time I checked HE FREED THE SLAVES. #KnowYourShit
There are good and bad people in both parties, and I sure as hell don’t think one party is better than the other in every situation
Wow wow wow being a conservative and seeing this …. Abe Lincoln would not be a modern day republican. Abe Lincoln didn’t free the slaves. The Emancipation Proclamation freed slaves in the confederacy aka if you escaped yourself, THEN you were free. Slavery wasn’t abolished until after Lincoln’s presidency. and the democrats that filibustered the civil rights act were SOUTHERN democrats, and southern democrats at the time would be considered modern day republicans. Stop trying to compare old party values to new ones; seriously, have you even taken any history class ever?
THAAAAANK YOOOUUU ^^^
Also the fact that those Democrats who were against the Civil Rights Act in the 60s became Republicans after it was passed… LBJ famously made a comment about losing the South for at least a generation. What have we learned here? That the Democrats from 50 years ago and the Democrats from 150 years ago are not the same Democrats today. #checkyourfacts
